I Am a Birdman

A 62-year-old Indian man named Joseph Sekar feeds nearly 2,000 to 4,000 parakeets in Chennai every day.
In 2004, a 9.1-magnitude earthquake in the Indian Ocean caused a tsunami, which is an enormous, destructive sea wave. Sekar saw two homeless parakeets flying after the natural disaster, so he fed them. The birds brought other hungry ones to Sekar, and those birds brought even more hungry birds.
Now, Sekar wakes up at about 4 a.m. and cooks for an hour. Then, he puts the grains along 14 wooden boards that stretch across his roof. The kind man also takes care of any of the birds that are sick or injured.
